SolidWorld Group supplies its Leatherworks AI software to one of France’s leading luxury brands. Value of the order euro 700 thousand

Leatherworks, a CAD3D application using Artificial Intelligence algorithms, is a software developed in-house by SolidWorld Group that, starting from their design, automates the process of generating patterns for leather handbags and accessories

Treviso, May 15, 2024 – SolidWorld Group S.p.A. (ticker S3D), a company listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market and parent of the Group that develops and integrates cutting-edge, comprehensive 3D digital technologies, has launched Leatherworks, the first Artificial Intelligence application developed in-house to revolutionize the design of leather accessories. Starting from the designer’s drawing, CAD3D-AI Leatherworks’ innovative software can automatically and in a very short time generate an infinite number of 3D leather bag and accessory models according to the technical and style parameters entered. Once the aesthetic solution is chosen, Leatherworks takes care of the entire design and execution in a fully automated manner, allowing the designer full freedom of expression.

The AI algorithm created by SolidWorld specifically for this software is able to process the complete product creation flow through a Machine Learning process that allows it to quickly learn how to make a bag, or an accessory, from an initial design.

“Leatherworks is just the first in a long line of applications based on artificial intelligence and our extensive CAD-3D expertise that we intend to offer our customers to speed up and improve the creation of new products” stated Roberto Rizzo, Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of SolidWorld Group.

By the end of 2024 the ‘Made in Italy’ Leatherworks software will be used for the first time by one of France’s leading luxury handbag manufacturers, which purchased it
for Euro 700 thousand.
