Treviso / Besana in Brianza (MB), March 23, 2023 – SolidWorld Group S.p.A., sector leader in digital technologies, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, has just signed a partnership with Oversonic Robotics, a software-hardware company from Brianza that designs and builds cognitive
systems, applying them, in particular, to the field of humanoid robotics.
The agreement makes SolidWorld Group the official, worldwide distributor of Robee, the first 100% Made-in-Italy humanoid cognitive robot, built by Oversonic. Through this partnership , RoBee will be available for sale to companies across a world-spanning sales network.
RoBee is a robot-machine that copies the look and mechanical structure of the human body , and comes equipped with cognitive abilities, supported by artificial intelligence and computer vision. . This means that RoBeee, using omnidirectional wheels, can autonomously navigate its environment,
recognize objects and people, interact by voice, using Voice Bot, and perform sophisticated mechanical actions, such as picking and placing. RoBee supports workers in their tasks, and can interact with digitalized production lines, machinery and work centers under human supervision.
RoBee can be easily integrated into cutting-edge, digitalized manufacturing machinery and production systems.. SolidFactory Srl, a new SolidWorld Group company, is an industrial contractor bringing high-tech manufacturing systems and digitalized production lines to client companies. RoBee can be integrated into such systems, to help manage machinery and entire production lines, guaranteeing operational continuity and high efficiency and performance.
The robot helps workers carry out repetitive, tiring tasks and perform operations in hazardous, high risk work environments.
According to the International Federation of Robotics, as many as approximately 3.5 million robots are now used operationally. This is a number clearly set to rise, after the growth in traditional robotics seen in the Industry 4.0 transition, with a new thrust
oming from the Industry 5.0 plan promoted by the European Community, which will see collaborative robotics and cognition as new technological trends in industrial innovation.
