Treviso, May 6, 2024 – SolidWorld Group S.p.A. (ticker S3D), a company listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market and parent of the Group that develops and integrates cutting-edge, comprehensive 3D digital technologies, will this year be exhibiting at stand 5B20 at Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week, a unique platform for players in the local, regional and global healthcare industries which showcases the world’s most advanced technological innovations and collaborations.
The event will be held from May 13-15 at ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi (the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre), and presents a valuable opportunity for healthcare innovators to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration. The show is expected to attract more than 5,000 participants, 100 exhibitors, 200 speakers and 1,000 delegates.
The SolidWorldGroup’s participation, through its subsidiaries Bio3DPrinting and Bio3DModel, once again confirms its commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions for the creation of human tissues and organs to support medical research. Chief among these is ‘ELECTROSPIDER’ the 3D bioprinter that can reproduce human cells and tissues, enabling both the tissue support structure, made of biocompatible material by electrospinning technique with nanometer thickness, and cell hydrogels of different types of human cells to be printed simultaneously for the first time. Layer by layer, the bioprinter recreates portions of “living” human tissue, developed from cells cultured in vitro and extracted directly from the patient being treated or from donor subjects. This operation drastically reduces the waiting time for implantable material and the risks associated with rejection, enabling in-depth analysis of the samples collected for studies and research in a number of fields.
After featuring at the Group’s stand, the innovative 3D bioprinter will be transferred directly to the local hospital institution that recently purchased it.
Solid World’s presence at the fair is strategic in that it takes place in one of the countries in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) area. According to a recent UnivDatos report (https://univdatos.com/it/report/mena-medical-device-market/), the MENA biomedical market was worth over USD 13 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.2% between 2023 and 2030.
